The Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) process is a combination of the biological waste water treatment and membrane filtration. The bio degradable pollution is reduced by bacteria and microorganisms. After the biological treatment the biological sludge is separated from the treated water by a micro-filtration membrane.
Toray’s MEMBRAY MBR Membranes are PVDF flat sheet membranes with a PET non-woven support layer. The nominal pore size is 0.08 microns with a narrow pore size distribution. The membrane elements with a 1.4m2 membrane area are jointed to the membrane module. These modules are composed of 20 – 200 membrane elements.  
The MEMBRAY modules consists of the membrane element, the stainless steel element frame and the aeration block.
